Glenda Hickman

Nurse Practitioner | Health Coach | Speaker | Freelance Writer

A native of South Carolina, Glenda Hickman has dedicated her career to improving the health and well-being of others. Since graduating from Clemson University in 1997, she has worked in the medical field with a passion for health education, disease prevention, and empowering individuals to take control of their health.

Today, Glenda serves as a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cardiology, where she combines years of clinical expertise with compassionate patient care. Throughout her career, she has actively participated in health screenings, community health fairs, and educational workshops. Her primary focus has evolved toward providing personalized, holistic health education that empowers individuals to make informed decisions and healthier lifestyle choices.

A Calling Beyond Healthcare

In recent years, Glenda recognized the growing need for meaningful health and wellness education within the faith-based community. Inspired by both her professional experience and personal journey, she is committed to educating, encouraging, and inspiring members of the Body of Christ to live healthier lives—physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Her mission is inspired by 3 John 2:

"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."

A Life Shaped by Purpose

Life's unexpected turns often prepare us for our greatest purpose. As a Nurse Practitioner, widow, and the fourth of eleven siblings, Glenda has learned that while nothing in life is guaranteed, endless possibilities exist through faith, resilience, and perseverance.

These experiences have strengthened her belief that education, compassion, and faith can transform lives and empower people to overcome life's challenges.

LIFE – My Personal Anagram and Motto

L – Love

Love is the foundation of life. It enables us to serve others with compassion, sacrifice when necessary, and remain steadfast through life's victories and hardships. Love supports, provides, endures, and reflects the very nature of God.

I – Improvise

Life rarely unfolds exactly as planned. When we recognize that God is ultimately in control, our possibilities become limitless. Learning to adapt, remain flexible, and overcome unexpected challenges allows us to grow stronger and wiser with every experience.

F – Forgive

Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself. As Christians, we are called to forgive others just as we have been forgiven. Holding onto bitterness only limits our own growth. Choosing forgiveness brings freedom, restores peace, and strengthens unity through the power of love.

E – Explore

Never stop seeking deeper understanding. Surface-level knowledge produces surface-level results. By exploring the meaning behind ideas, desires, and purpose, we become more committed, more faithful, and more effective in every area of life. As Scripture teaches, we should pursue not only knowledge but also understanding.

"Glenda's mission is simple yet powerful: to educate, encourage, and inspire others to live healthier, more purposeful lives through knowledge, faith, and compassionate care."
